Geoffrey Graham in 1967

Geoffrey Graham 1947-1989.

Geoffrey Graham grew up in South Texas, where the wide expanses of sky influenced his landscapes of the late 1970’s. In the 1960s while at the University of Nice, he studied the work and theory of Josef Albers and the intimate relationship of light to color became the focus of his practice for the rest of his life. His work has been exhibited internationally, including galleries in Amsterdam, New York, San Fransisco, Dallas, Austin, Hoya Gallery in London and Moody Gallery in Houston, Texas. Geoffrey’s artwork is in private and institutional collections, including the McNay Museum in San Antonio, the Austin Fairchild Foundation, the city of Dallas, the State of South Australia, and His Royal Highness King Charles. Geoffrey died of AIDS in 1989.
